These terms apply to your use of www.grandrapidshandyman.com and to the text message service operated by Grand Rapids Handyman. Using the site or opting in to messages means you accept them.
Everything published on this site is general guidance about home repairs and the services we offer. Timelines are estimates drawn from typical jobs, not offers capable of acceptance. Nothing here creates a contract until we have agreed the work with you.
We quote from photos or a visit before any work starts, and nothing proceeds without your approval. Quotes made from photos assume the job is what the photos show. If something unexpected turns up once work is underway, we stop and talk to you before continuing rather than adding it to the bill. Invoices fall due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Walls, floors and trim sometimes hide problems: rot behind a sill, water damage behind drywall, or framing that is not where it should be. Where we can foresee such risks we will tell you before starting. Where they only become apparent during the work, we stop and discuss the revised scope with you rather than proceeding on assumption.
We do not perform work that Michigan law reserves for licensed electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors or residential builders. If part of your job falls into that category, we will tell you so and you can hire the right trade for that part. Where a job needs a building permit, we will tell you before work starts.
Grand Rapids Handyman sends text messages relating to scheduling, arrival windows, quotes and follow-up for customers who contact us about work at www.grandrapidshandyman.com, and receives service messages such as invoices and verification codes from providers we use.
If you opt in, we may send a message confirming your signup. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
Cancel any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which you will receive no further messages. To resume later, sign up the same way you did originally.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and is outside our control.

Completed work is covered by the warranty stated on your invoice, applying to the labor and materials itemised there. It does not extend to unrelated parts of the property, pre-existing conditions uncovered during the job, products you supplied, damage from misuse after completion, or work performed by others. If something we fixed is not right, tell us and we will come back to it.
So far as the law permits, our liability for any claim connected with this site or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
