Soft boards, loose railings, leaning posts and gates that drag on the ground, fixed before they get worse.
West Michigan winters are hard on outdoor wood. Water gets into the end grain, freezes, and works boards and posts loose year after year. If the framing underneath is sound, a repair makes sense and costs far less than a new deck or fence. If the joists or the ledger board against the house are rotted, that's a job for a deck builder, and we'll tell you so rather than nailing new boards onto a bad frame.
Before setting any new post, we call MISS DIG 811 to have buried lines marked, as Michigan law requires.
They will match in size. New lumber looks lighter until it weathers or gets stained, so expect a visible difference for a season or two.
We can stain repaired sections. Staining an entire deck is a bigger job we quote separately.
Yes. This is one of the most common fence calls. Usually it needs the post braced or reset, new hinges, or an anti-sag kit.
Repairs to an existing fence usually do not. A new fence line or a big deck change may, and we will tell you if your job sounds like one of those.
